Now that you’ve taken the picture, what now?

The images are now on some file on your computer just waiting for you to do something with them! Please join the Island Photo staff and renown Low Country photography teacher, Jerry Griffin, as he endeavors to explain how best to get the most from your images.

This two hour class is intended to offer you some basic “how to’s” for archiving, storing and using your images once you have taken them.

• How to unload your images from the camera to your computer
• How to manage your images once they are on your computer
• How to find your images later on
• How to prevent you losing everything if your hard drive crashes
• How to email your images, the “kind” way
• Possible uses for your images

Are you getting started taking digital pictures? Need a refresher? Just got a digital camera as a gift and don’t know where to start? Frustrated with all the new terms?

Please come and join our award winning Low Country photography teacher, Jerry Griffin, as he de-mystifies digital photography for you. In simple easy to understand terms Jerry will explain the basics including:

• Basics camera features
• What are these pixels things
• How many pictures can you take
• Memory card use and re-use
• Camera features you may not know about
• Using flash
• How to get your images made into prints here at Island Photo

After answering your questions we will “wet” your appetite for ways to use your images creatively. These will include: photo books, posters, scrapbooking, note cards, gifts and many more.

Class attendees are encouraged to bring their camera, camera manual and their questions!

> Digital Photography for the Busy Woman

5:30-7:30pm

Our first ever digital photography workshop for the working or just plain very busy woman!

Jerry Griffin, our award winning Low Country photography teacher, will cover the basics of today’s digital photography. Using simple easily understood terms, Jerry will review: how digital cameras work. Topics will include:

• Camera basic features
• Your camera’s “hidden” features
• How many pictures you can take
• Memory cards use and re-use
• Use of flash
• Wide angle and telephoto

Jerry will also explain how to get your images from your camera to your computer so you can find them later on and give you some ideas on how to use the images you have stored away, including having prints made for you here at Island Photo.

Since women are the primary picture takers in most families, Jerry will teach you some of his “tricks of the trade’ for taking Better Family Pictures.

Please bring your camera and camera manual to class.
